Effective May 1, 2020, title insurance endorsement costs, as recommended by the Title Insurance Rating Bureau of Pennsylvania, will increase. All fat rate endorsements currently less than $250.00 will double. Flat rate endorsements currently between $250.00 and $500.00 will increase by $200.00. Additionally, the minimum charge for endorsements which are charged as a percentage of the title insurance premium will increase and currently have a $100.00 minimum will double. Title insurance endorsements are offered for both owner’s title policies and loan title policies. Residential property purchasers will see the cost of the endorsements typically required by residential lenders increase from $150.00 to $300.00.
