Nigeria -

On May 21st, following the White House’s announcement of its decision to deploy 80 troops to Chad to assist in the search for the more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram in Nigeria, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce (R-CA) issued a statement welcoming increased U.S. support on intelligence gathering and surveillance in the search for the missing schoolgirls. However, Congressman Royce urged that the U.S. should to more to advise and assist those engaged in rescue efforts.
