On February 11, the White House nominated Brian Quintenz to replace Caroline Pham as Chairman of the CFTC. He previously worked as the Head of Policy at a venture capital fund that invests in cryptoassets. Quintenz previously served as CFTC Commissioner, facilitating public cryptoasset-related policy discussions and overseeing the listing of the first U.S. regulated cryptoasset futures contracts on derivatives exchanges. Prior to his service, Quintenz founded a capital management company for which he served as Managing Principal for nearly four years. Quintenz began his career as a senior policy aid to Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH).
