Dave Uejio, the CFPB’s acting director, recently issued a statement affirming his commitment to address racial inequities and discussing the importance of fairness and equity in the consumer finance markets.

Specifically, Mr. Uejio indicated that his “top priorities are to take bold and swift action to address issues of pervasive racial injustice and the long-term economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on consumers.”
