There was a time, not all that long ago, where counterfeiting of consumer goods was largely a problem afflicting high fashion designers, such as Prada, Gucci and Versace. Expensive high-end accessories such as Rolex watches, Hermes handbags and ties, and Dior fragrances were also at the top of the list of targets for fraudsters looking to make a quick buck by deceiving consumers into spending their hard-earned money on something that was not what it appeared to be.
