DBIS makes SBEEA commencement regulations

DBIS has made the second set of commencement regulations under the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (SBEEA). The provisions coming into force include an amendment to section 87 of the Financial Services Act 2012 that takes effect from 1 October 2015. This will oblige the Independent Complaints Commissioner to publish an annual report on investigations under the financial services complaints scheme. The report should include any recommendations for how the complaints handling procedures of the UK financial services regulators could improve. Treasury must lay the report and regulators’ responses before Parliament. (Source: SI 2015/1689 SBEEA Commencement No. 2 Regulations)
