Elevate Services provides legal support services to law firms and insurance companies handling personal injury claims. While you may not have ever heard of the company, either your lawyer or your insurance company provided your information to Elevate in connection with your personal injury lawsuit. Unfortunately, as a result of the Elevate data breach, there is no telling who has access to your information or what they plan to do with it. As we’ve discussed in previous posts, cybercriminals often use the information they obtain through a data breach to commit all types of fraud, putting you at a greatly increased risk of identity theft. Therefore, it is essential that you take a few minutes to learn more about what you can do to protect yourself and what your legal options are to hold the party responsible for the breach accountable.
