Critical Infrastructure Protection Reliability Standard CIP-015-1 – Cyber Security – Internal Network Security Monitoring. In June 2024, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) filed with the Commission its proposed Reliability Standard CIP-015-1. The proposed standard relates to cyber security, and more specifically, internal network security monitoring. NERC describes its proposal as advancing reliability by establishing requirements for internal network security monitoring for network traffic inside an “Electronic Security Perimeter,” with the aim of improving the probability of detecting anomalous or unauthorized network activity and facilitating improved response to and recovery from an attack. Idaho Power Company. On the same date, the Commission issued Order No. 2023-A, which reaffirmed and clarified certain requirements of Order No. 2023. On May 28, 2024, Idaho Power made its subsequent Order No. 2023-A compliance filing, including both pro forma revisions as directed in Order No. 2023-A as well as some revisions differing from the pro forma which Idaho Power describes as either consistent with, or superior to, the pro forma.
