On June 12, 2023, Generations Federal Credit Union (“GFCU”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Texas after learning that confidential consumer information entrusted to the company was subject to unauthorized access. Based on the company’s official filing, the incident resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, addresses, government-issued identification numbers, financial account information, medical information and health insurance information.
