The owners of the existing Ambassador Bridge lost one of their many arguments in Wayne County Circuit Court.

The owners of the Ambassador Bridge, entities controlled by the Maroun family, have raised many objections to the construction of the Ambassador Bridge in a variety of legal forums. This includes litigation attacking the project as well as owning property in the new bridge’s footprint.

This article details a ruling made by Judge Colombo in Wayne County Circuit Court. Judge Colombo is dealing with the preliminary title and possession issues for all the condemnations filed by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

As warned by former Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox who now represents the Maroun entities, this is just one step in the ongoing legal process.

MDOT has filed many cases in Wayne County condemning property rights for the bridge.
