On Thursday, October 26th, Morrison Foerster’s Government Contracts Group held its inaugural MoForward Event at the Tysons Corner Ritz Carlton. The event was a rousing success, reflecting the unique interaction between our deep government contracts bench and our colleagues who have led the government’s and industry’s most significant enforcement and response teams.
The full day program included presentations from our Government Contracts attorneys on developments and practical advice in bid protests, export, cybersecurity, OCI’s and procurement integrity, False Claims, Congressional developments, and data rights. In a departure from other firms, however, these “classic” government contracts issues were complemented by presentations on the Global Cyber Threat, Data Privacy, the FCPA, and Intelligence Community issues by John Carlin, former Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Security Division, Global Risk and Crisis Management Chair, Chuck Duross, former head of the DOJ’s Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Unit and Deputy Chief in the Fraud Section in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, Global Anti-Corruption practice Chair, James Koukios, former Senior Deputy Chief of the Fraud Section in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and a lunch keynote by Robert Litt, former General Counsel for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
