New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (“AT&T”) proposes to install a 130’ monopole telecommunications tower at 518 Stewart Road South, Mount Holly, VT, Parcel ID: 11A2001.00, on property owned by Raymond C. Tarbell and Linda M. Tarbell, as stated in a Section 248a Advance Notice dated June 21, 2019 and provided to statutory parties and adjoining landowners. The Project will allow capabilities for FirstNet, a nationwide interoperable network for first responders, as well as improving AT&T coverage in Mt. Holly. The tower is proposed for the same location as previously approved by the Vermont Public Service Board on March 9, 2011 (see Docket 7710).
At the present time, a balloon test is planned for Monday, July 22, 2019 between 9am and 1pm. A balloon will be flown at a height of 130’ in order to produce photo simulations documenting the project’s visibility. The time period may be shortened or lengthened depending on weather conditions. The back-up date in case of inclement weather is Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Photographic simulations will be available for viewing, together with a viewshed analysis, during the 60-day advance notice period, and prior to submission of the petition for certificate of public good. Please check back to receive up-to-date information regarding the timing of the test, and any materials.
Please also note that the Mount Holly Selectboard has scheduled a public hearing on the application for Tuesday, August 13th at 7pm, 50 School Street, Mount Holly.
