New York DOH Indicates it May Issue Guidance Regarding Fiscal Intermediary Authorization Applications

The Department of Health has indicated that it may be issuing guidance regarding the completion of the fiscal intermediary authorization applications.  The guidance is likely to take the form of a series of Frequently Asked Questions.  While we do not know when such additional guidance may be issued, should the Department decide to issue the guidance, we anticipate it will be posted on the Department’s FI Authorization website, and/or circulated via email, within the next two weeks.  While it is unclear what questions the guidance may address, we expect that it will provide helpful clarification on the documentation that the Department is requiring for the Application.   FIs that are in the process of completing the Application may wish to hold off submitting the Applications until after the Thanksgiving holiday.
