The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) has announced a training opportunity titled:

Pollution Prevention and Lean Principles Training (“Training”)

ADEQ states that the Training will take place at the Cox Center, Little Rock Public Library, 120 River Market Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 31-August 1 through a partnership with the Environmental Training Institute.

ADEQ states that attendees will have the opportunity to “learn methods to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase the bottom line” for a business.

The workshop is stated to include:

  • Case studies from industry
  • Interactive sessions on the use of Lean business practices
  • Overview of environmental management systems, including updates on ISO 14001
  • How to benchmark effectiveness

The presentation will be undertaken by Thomas Vinson of the Environmental Training Institute.
