What Caused the MOVEit / Radius Global Solutions Breach?

The Radius Global Solutions data breach was only recently announced, and more information is expected in the near future. Radius also posted a “Notice of MOVEit Data Event” on its website.

According to these sources, on June 1, 2023, Radius learned that MOVEit, a secure file transfer application used by the company, contained a critical vulnerability allowing hackers to access MOVEit servers. Upon learning of the vulnerability, Radius investigated its MOVEit server to determine whether an unauthorized party had accessed any confidential documents. Radius confirmed that certain documents were accessed and that these documents contained sensitive information.
