Following a recent planning study, Fairfax County has seated a task force to begin re-writing the comprehensive plan for Centreville, Virginia. The updated comprehensive plan will guide any necessary or desired zoning and land use changes in Centreville. The study presents an important opportunity to respond to changing market dynamics and add value by redeveloping or repositioning a range of strategically located properties. The study is anticipated to run until spring 2025, but it is expected that some critical planning decisions will be made prior to the end of summer 2024. The scope and objective of the task force process are outlined here.

Property owners, potential purchasers and developers should engage now to ensure comments, perspectives and objectives are incorporated into the revised comprehensive plan. McGuireWoods attorneys and land use planners are available to assist in formulating strategies for specific properties.
