SBA Increases Leverage Available to Family of SBIC Funds

On Dec. 28, 2016, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) amended Section 521 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act to increase, from $225 million to $350 million, the maximum amount of leverage available to two or more SBICs under common control. This amendment was made to conform with a statutory change previously adopted by Congress.
