As has been widely reported, the Securities and Exchange Commission this week adopted amendments to Regulation S-K which it describes as modernizing "the description of business, legal proceedings, and risk factor disclosures that registrants are required to make".  The Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association submitted, which Steve Hazen and I co-chair, submitted this comment letter. The SEC's adopting release cites the letter some 14 times.  The CLA was established in 2018, CLA as the successor to the Sections of the State Bar of California and the California Young Lawyers Association.  It is a voluntary, nonprofit organization.
