This edition of the Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Criminal Defense Newsletter opens with

an overview of recent trends in enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, an area in which we expect

to see more government action. We then turn to a primer on recently announced guidelines for the appointment of independent corporate monitors, which are often a feature of non-prosecution or deferred prosecution agreements with corporations.
