The House plans to vote on the American Health Care Act (AHCA) on Thursday. While this is only the beginning of the political and legislative process for the so-called Obamacare repeal bill, it’s important for health care stakeholders to get educated on the substantial changes proposed in the current version of the AHCA. To assist in this process, we have created a one-page resource providing a comparative analysis of the AHCA and the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that highlights each bill’s treatment of a number of core issues, including insurance subsidies, individual and employer mandates, essential health benefits and Medicaid expansion.
