U.S. Net Energy Imports and Coal Production Lowest in Decades

U.S. net energy imports for 2013 and Q4 2013 coal production were reported by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (“EIA”) as being the lowest since more than 20 years ago.  The EIA’s latest Quarterly Coal Report reflects that Q4 2013 coal production (239.1 million short tons) was the lowest since Q2 1993.
