REAs and Claims – Two Critical Concepts in Seeking Compensation on Federal Contracts
After you’ve won the contract award, what comes next? As any Federal contractor will tell you, the contract award is only the beginning — performance presents a whole new series of challenges.

The FAR and its supplementary regulations impose a host of obligations on contractors and can impact the ways in which a contractor can seek compensation for unanticipated costs incurred on the job. In this webinar, experienced Federal contracting attorneys Maria Panichelli and Bob Ruggieri will discuss two critical methods used for seeking compensation on Federal Contracts: Requests for Equitable Adjustment, and Claims. Maria and Bob will cover the fundamentals of each method, as well as the differences between REAs and Claims, and when to use each. Subcontractor pass-through claims and prime/subcontractor disputes will also be discussed.

Using the CDA Litigation Process to Resolve Your Federal Contracting Claim
Filing a claim is only the first step of litigation. If your claim is denied or ignored, you aren’t out of options. You can take your claim through litigation and get paid. In this webinar, Federal contracting attorneys Maria Panichelli and Bob Ruggieri will walk you through the Contract Disputes Act (“CDA”) litigation process, starting with the filing of your claim, and finishing with resolution. Different litigation strategies will be discussed, and Maria and Bob will also cover common Government claim defenses and ways to rebut them (or prepare for them in advance).

Monday, March 19, 2018 1:00pm-2:30pm

Federal Contract Terminations
Sometimes, terminations occur even to the best contractors. This webinar will cover what happens at the end of a contract when that contract is terminated by the government either for convenience or default. In this webinar, Federal government contracting attorneys Maria Panichelli and Bob Ruggieri will start with explaining the critical differences between terminations for convenience (T4Cs) and terminations for default (T4Ds). Next, you will learn all about T4Cs, the response process and seeking compensation in connection with work performed prior to termination. Finally, we will cover how to challenge T4Ds, including how to convert them to T4Cs, and how to deal with reprocurement claims.
