Last call for alcohol to go is 11:59 PM June 30, 2023. Cocktails to go expires in Tennessee on July 1, 2023.

There are special rules for beer.

If you have an off-premises beer permit, you can continue to sell sealed containers of beer having an alcoholic content of 10.1% ABV or less. Unlike cocktails to go, beer off-premise sales do not require the sale of any food. You can sell sealed beer by the individual bottle or can, six pack, 12 pack, case or keg.

Bottles and cans - almost instinctively, we hear Beck rapping:

Bottles and cans, just clap your hands

Just clap your hands

Metro Nashville Carry Out Beer Permit.

The Metro Nashville beer board has its own separate beer carry out permit. Although you have to apply for the Nashville beer permit, it is permanent and does not expire on July 1, 2023. It only applies to regular beer, below 10.1 percent ABV. There is a one-time $255.75 application fee and a $100 annual privilege tax to renew the permit every year.

The Nashville carry out permit allows delivery by the permit holder’s staff. It does not allow for beer delivery by third-party delivery services, like Uber Eats.
