As required by AB 32, SB 375 and California Air Resources Board regulations, Yolo County recently produced its draft Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP assesses local GHG emissions and establishes a target to reduce emissions back to the levels estimated for 1990, or 613,651 metric tons. To achieve this target, 15 programs are proposed, including such measures as increasing renewable energy production, enhancing energy and water conservation, expanding alternative transportation, planting trees, and reducing fertilizer application. Moore information and a full copy of the Yolo County draft CAP is available on the County’s website: http://bit.ly/f8W0kk.
