The International Green Construction Code (IgCC) is ready for adoption by local jurisdictions in the U.S. The code applies to all new and renovated commercial and residential buildings over three stories and sets mandatory baseline standards for energy and water efficiency, site impacts, building waste and materials. Many local and state governments have adopted the IgCC, even though the final code will not be published until March 2012.
