Carlton Fields shareholders George J. Meyer and Kenneth A. Tinkler spoke at The Real Estate Team 2010: Commercial Real Estate Projects – From Soup to Nuts program presented by the Florida Legal Education Association (FLEA). The seminar took place on April 16-17, 2010 at the InterContinental Tampa Hotel.
Tinkler co-presented on Due Diligence Investigations with Roland D. Waller on Friday, April 16. Meyer spoke on Construction Contract Issues on Saturday, April 17. This seminar was attended by real estate and construction attorneys and paralegals from around the region. Other topics included: broker and listing agreements, real estate contracts, entity selection, financing and closings, and distressed property issues.
Meyer’s practice includes real property and construction transactions, with an emphasis on the preparation, negotiation, and administration of design and construction contracts, Florida Construction Lien Law and construction claims analysis and dispute resolution. He has extensive experience with large-complex public and private development projects. Meyer is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law.
Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law by The Florida Bar, Tinkler’s practice involves a wide variety of government law issues with a focus on land use, environmental permitting, energy, and election law. Tinkler’s experience includes representation of individuals and corporations dealing with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as representation of county government and constitutional officers.
