This is NOT a “do-over” of our very well-received July 27th DE Masterclass Roundtable on “Compliance to Recruitment” (CTR), but rather an extension of this discussion given that our July attendees just could not get enough of this topic. And, just to keep our previous panelists on their toes, we have expanded the faculty to further add to this conversation.

Here is the line-up for our October 26th discussion:

Candee Chambers, Executive Director of DirectEmployers Association and the CEO of its Recruit Rooster recruitment tools subsidiary, will lead this 60-minute roundtable discussion. Drawing on her lengthy experience as a recruiter and later as an OFCCP compliance manager, Candee will draw out a practical discussion of how to get corporate talent acquisition leaders to work together with and support their compliance counterparts.

Julie O-Hara-Harvey, a newly added Board Member and the Sr. AA/EEO & Diversity Consultant of Principal Financial Group, will share expertise from her nearly 30-year career in the industry and how D&I can be properly weaved into the compliance and recruitment functions.

Miriam Harris Lewis, the Chief Inclusion Officer for Principal Financial Group who was recently recognized as one of the most influential Executives in Diversity and Inclusion by Savoy Magazine, will also join the discussion to add insight into how DEI ties into these two important functions.

Mike Bazinet, a Board Member and the Director of Talent Acquisition for Affordable Care, will join the panel to describe how he has worked with his recruiters at several different companies to maximize their contributions to the company’s compliance objectives.

Jonathan Liepe, a long-time (now former) Board Member and the Human Resources Supervisor at Colorado Springs Utilities covers both compliance and recruitment tasks. Jonathan will describe how he has managed to blend both the compliance and recruitment functions to both staff the company and keep it compliant.

John C. Fox, Esq. of Fox, Wang & Morgan P.C. joins the panel to describe what exactly TA Members should be documenting and will offer some constructive learning from TA failures he often sees in OFCCP audits and OFCCP failure-to-hire litigation.

During this Masterclass, our panelists will share their perspective on the following, and much more:

  • Why recruiters’ contributions are important
  • How should TA engage the company’s compliance solution?
  • If the company is a federal contractor, what should the recruiters know (and why) about the company’s goals in its Affirmative Action Plans and when should they know them, especially in light of the SCOTUS’ Harvard/UNC case decision?
  • What written teaching and training resources does DE have discussing CTR?
