On April 17, 2020, Governor Jim Justice issued a new executive order requiring that all residents and staff members of West Virginia nursing homes be tested for COVID-19. This executive order includes residents and staff members that have already been tested and was issued, according to Governor Justice, due to inaccuracies and discrepancies in initial testing results. There is no specific deadline for the completion of testing, with Governor Justice requesting that it be completed “as soon as possible.”
