Allen & Overy’s U.S. litigation team authored an amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to help preserve transgender adolescents’ access to gender-affirming healthcare.

A&O partnered with Stonewall UK and numerous other LGBTQ+ rights organizations around the globe to argue that the trial court correctly struck down a statute enacted by the State of Alabama that would prohibit transgender adolescents from obtaining gender-affirming healthcare and would preclude physicians from providing such care. A&O and Stonewall UK previously partnered together to combat a similar law enacted by the State of Arkansas.
