The deadline for colleges and universities to report crime statistics (and fire statistics, if applicable) under the Cleary Act is extended to Thursday, October 24, 2013 due to the government shutdown.  If an institution submitted reports to the Department on paper, the institution must resubmit electronically.

The shut down did not affect deadlines for data collection and reporting under the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA).
