COVID-19 Daily Insurance Regulatory Updates To Keep You Informed During The Lockdown (July 2020 #18)

Virginia: Effective July 27, the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry adopted Emergency Temporary Standard 16 VAC 25-220 to establish requirements for employers to control and mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The Emergency Temporary Standard will expire within six months, upon expiration of the Governor’s State of Emergency, or when superseded by a permanent standard.

Property and Casualty Insurance

Wyoming: On July 28, Governor Gordon issued Executive Order 2020-09 extending a grace period for expired driver licenses and identification cards, and modified or reduced the number of driving examinations, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The Order provides a 180 day grace period for expired drivers licenses and ID cards between March 15, 2020 – September 30, 2020. Late fees associated with licenses and identification cards will also be waived at the time of renewal.
