INCBA is excited to expand opportunities for justice in the cannabis industry in a two-day event. On Friday, February 9, 2024, we will hear from attorneys and a justice involved cannabis professional in a fireside chat followed by a cocktail reception at the Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles. Speakers include Brittany K. Barnett, an award-winning attorney and entrepreneur focused on social impact investing, who was named one of America’s most Outstanding Young Lawyers by the American Bar Association and is dedicated to transforming the criminal justice system and has won freedom for numerous people serving fundamental death sentences for federal drug offenses – including seven clients who received executive clemency from President Barack Obama; Corvain Cooper, who was previously sentenced to life for cannabis and now works with 40 Tons, a leading cannabis social impact brand; and others. Join us on Saturday, February 10 at a pro bono expungement clinic organized by Social Impact Center at Gorilla University in Los Angeles.
