Jackson Walker partner Leisa Talbert Peschel spoke at the 14th Annual Advanced Patent Litigation Course on Thursday, July 12, at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Rocky Mountain Regional Office in Denver, Colorado.
The CLE presentation, entitled “Extraterritorial Reach of Patents: Impact of Recent and Pending Federal Circuit and Supreme Court Patent Cases,” summarized the parameters of liability and exposure under 35 U.S.C. § 271(f) through analysis of the most recent Supreme Court decisions on § 271(f), including the case of WesternGeco LLC v. ION Geophysical Corporation.
