The CLE presentation, entitled “Extraterritorial Reach of Patents: Impact of Recent and Pending Federal Circuit and Supreme Court Patent Cases,” summarized the parameters of liability and exposure under 35 U.S.C. § 271(f) through analysis of the most recent Supreme Court decisions on § 271(f), including the case of WesternGeco LLC v. ION Geophysical Corporation.
