Shearman & Sterling LLPThe Financial Stability Board has published a common template for gathering information about continuity of access to financial market infrastructures for firms in resolution. The template facilitates implementation of the FSB’s 2017 Guidance on continuity of access to FMIs for a firm in resolution. The aim of the common template is to streamline the process of gathering information, reduce the burden on FMIs who receive multiple requests for information and make more efficient the process of giving information by FMIs to participants and authorities. All FMIs are urged to complete the questions in the common template and to make those available to their participants and national resolution authorities by November/December 2020. The FSB intends, after 12 months, to assess how the common template has achieved its goals.
