Court Rules Nursing Homes Can't Face Retroactive COVID Suits

A state appeals court has rejected arguments that nursing homes sued for negligence in COVID-related cases early in the pandemic could be forced to face trial after a later revocation of a legal shield. COVID immunity laws were adopted by at least 38 states during the height of the pandemic.

AMA Issues Guidance on AI Development, Deployment in Healthcare

Amid the rapid growth of what it calls "augmented intelligence" in healthcare, the American Medical Association has issued a set of principles to channel the technology's development and use in ways that maximize its benefits and minimize potential harm to patients and clinicians.
