New BLS Judges: Judge Peter Krupp, Judge Hélène Kazanjian, Judge Michael Ricciuti

Three new judges have joined the BLS rotation.

Judge Peter Krupp replaced Judge Karen Green for the January-June rotation period of BLS1. In 2013, Governor Deval Patrick appointed Judge Krupp to the Superior Court. Before his appointment, Judge Krupp founded Lurie & Krupp (n/k/a Lurie Friedman); worked for the Committee for Public Counsel Services; and served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in the District of Massachusetts. Judge Krupp began his career as an Associate at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo. You can find more information about Judge Krupp’s background at Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Judge Hélène Kazanjian will replace Judge Brian Davis for the July-December rotation period of BLS1. In 2016, Governor Charlie Baker appointed Judge Kazanjian to the Superior Court. Before her appointment, Judge Kazanjian served as the Chief of the Trial Division in the Attorney General’s Office; served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia and the District of Maine; and was an associate at Goodwin, Proctor & Hoar. Judge Michael Ricciuti replaced Judge Janet Sanders for the July-December rotation period of BLS2. In 2017, Governor Baker appointed Judge Ricciuti to the Superior Court. Before his appointment, Judge Ricciuti was a Partner at K&L Gates; served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston; served as a Trial Attorney with the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.; and served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
