- General Assembly convenes. Colorado’s 72nd General Assembly has begun! Expect to see discussion on a wide range of topics, including the death penalty, a public option, transportation funding, and paid family leave.
- SCOTUS grants cert in Colorado electors case. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a case about whether presidential electors have the right to vote for the candidate of their choice in the Electoral College. The Justices are expected to hand down a decision by June 2020—in time for this year’s general election.
- STEM School Highlands Ranch security guard won’t face charges. Attorney Chris Jackson was interviewed on Next with Kyle Clark to discuss the district attorney’s decision not to charge a security guard who accidentally injured two students in connection with a school shooting.
