Advanced Title IX Regulations Training, Level 3 (Pre-K to 12)

Bricker & Eckler is pleased to announce a series of Level 3 K-12 Title IX practicums for Title IX coordinators, investigators, decision makers and informal resolution officers. These practicums will build on the basic skills and subjects discussed in our Level 1 and 2 trainings, and give participants an opportunity to practice explaining the Title IX process during an intake interview (Level 3 Title IX coordinator practicum), conducting difficult interviews (Level 3 Title IX investigator practicum), role-playing an informal resolution (Level 3 Title IX informal resolution practicum), and writing determinations, investigations, and appeal decisions (Level 3 Title IX report writing for decision-makers & appeals officers practicum)

Join us in taking a deeper look at the Title IX process in these three-hour training sessions to get hands-on practice with K-12 Title IX attorneys and other participants who have the same Title IX role as you. All trainings will be presented via Zoom and will use break-out rooms to provide a smaller group setting for skills practice.

Please note that prior Title IX training completion is recommended but not required. To register for Levels 1 & 2, click here. Contact Laura Schaller at lschaller@bricker.com for any questions or to edit an existing registration.

*Training materials will be provided to attendees to post on their websites in compliance with the new Title IX Regulation Section 106.45(b)(10)(i)(D). While this training includes instruction on the grievance and appeal processes required by the new Title IX regulations, it is not district-specific and does not include an individualized assessment of policies and procedures.

Level 3: K-12 Title IX informal resolution practicum

This advanced-level virtual training course builds on what attendees learned in Bricker & Eckler's Level 2 informal resolution training. Participants will be provided with a fact scenario prior to the session and will be placed in break-out groups with Bricker attorney facilitators. Participants will be provided an with informal resolution script and the opportunity to take turns role-playing as the informal resolution officer.

At Bricker, we strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Laura Schaller at lschaller@bricker.com
