I recently ran across a Forbes article that I thought was spot-on, so I am sharing it with our readers. Entitled “5 Tips For How To Handle Consumer Privacy Concerns,” the article astutely points out that “In the age of digital marketing and data collection, you also need to think about consumer privacy concerns and how they can impact your business.” The article then outlines five ways companies can “take care to protect customer privacy:”

• Be transparent about data collection
• Develop a data security plan
• Educate your employees
• Allow consumers to opt-out of data collection; and
• Stay informed about consumer privacy concerns
