The Tennessee Workers' Compensation E-Billing program goes into effect July 1, 2018. The goal of E-Billing is to reduce administrative costs and create a faster revenue cycle related to workers' compensation billing. The legislation and rules can be found on the Bureau of Workers' Compensation’s website.

The rule does provide exemptions for healthcare providers and insurance carriers that submit a relatively small number of bills for workers' compensation treatment in Tennessee and allows for exemptions from the mandate as a result of an unreasonable financial burden on a healthcare provider or insurance carrier.

Additional information can be found at the Bureau of Workers' Compensation' website located here.
