The Tennessee Workers' Compensation E-Billing program goes into effect July 1, 2018. The goal of E-Billing is to reduce administrative costs and create a faster revenue cycle related to workers' compensation billing. The rule does provide exemptions for healthcare providers and insurance carriers that submit a relatively small number of bills for workers' compensation treatment in Tennessee and allows for exemptions from the mandate as a result of an unreasonable financial burden on a healthcare provider or insurance carrier.
