Today, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it had (i) reached the congressionally mandated 65,000 H-1B cap for fiscal year 2019 and (ii) received sufficient H-1B petitions to meet the 20,000 cap for the advanced degree exemption (otherwise known as the “master’s cap”).
