HEADLINES
- The House potentially plans to vote on a significant bipartisan agreement to expand the child tax credit and renew key business tax breaks, while the Senate might move forward on border and national security funding legislation.
- Leading technology executives will testify at a Senate hearing on online child exploitation.
- President Joe Biden is reacting to the Iranian-backed attack in Jordan that killed three American soldiers Saturday. Later in the week he will attend campaign events in Florida, and attend the National Prayer Breakfast.
HOUSE
- The House plans to be in session tonight through Thursday, potentially taking up bipartisan tax legislation.
- Tomorrow, the Energy and Commerce Oversight Subcommittee will hold an oversight hearing regarding the Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
- The Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday will vote on articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

SENATE
- The Senate will be in session tomorrow through Friday, and might begin consideration of a long-sought national security and border security spending bill.
- The Judiciary Committee on Wednesday will hold a hearing regarding online child exploitation, featuring the chief executives of X, Meta, TikTok, Snap, and Discord.
- Also Wednesday, the Environment and Public Works Committee will hold a hearing titled “Avoiding, Detecting, and Capturing Methane Emissions from Landfills.”

WHITE HOUSE
- The president has vowed to respond to the drone strike in Jordan that killed three American soldiers and injured dozens more Saturday.
- He will travel to Florida tomorrow for campaign receptions in Palm Beach and Miami.
- Thursday, Biden will attend the National Prayer Breakfast.
