Please join us for a webinar on the 2024 Carlton Fields Class Action Survey results. Now in its 13th year, the survey offers both a current snapshot and insights over time into management practices and experiences of in-house counsel in defending class action lawsuits.

The results of this year's survey show that corporate in-house lawyers are bracing for an onslaught of labor and employment, data privacy, and consumer fraud class actions. The survey also highlights the continued growth of class action spending, with the percentage of companies facing class actions reaching the highest level in more than a decade. New for this year, the survey includes findings on the future of class actions, including the litigation risks that companies face from the use of generative AI and in-house counsel's expectations and concerns around the use of that technology in class action defense.

In this webinar, our presenters will:

  • Identify and discuss best practices in reducing cost and managing risk in class action litigation.
  • Review the type and frequency of class actions reported in the survey.
  • Summarize key recent developments in the law and identify the most successful defenses to class certification as reported by corporate counsel at more than 300 companies.

The webinar is especially useful for in-house counsel and executives with responsibility for class action litigation and risk management, and relevant for companies across a spectrum of industries. This year’s webinar will include a particular focus on labor and employment litigation, which the survey showed is the single largest component of both matters and spending by a wide margin.

All registrants will receive an electronic copy of the 2024 Carlton Fields Class Action Survey.

Carlton Fields will seek CLE credit in Florida and Georgia.
