December 6th, 2023
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM ET

Informal resolution is a powerful Title IX tool that allows parties to have a say in the outcome, avoid a hearing, and save time and resources for all involved. So why isn’t every case resolved informally?

In this webinar, Ashling Ehrhardt and Sydney Smith Forquer of Cohen Seglias and Allison Wisniewski of Rutgers University-Camden will discuss the pros and cons of informal resolution for K-12 districts, colleges and universities and how these considerations affect the parties. The presenters will also cover some of the creative ways that make this type of resolution appealing to the parties, including restorative justice and out-of-the-box sanctions. Attendees will learn the tools they need to offer, support and finalize informal resolution with confidence.
