Something new – government consults on parental leave rights

The government has issued a new consultation on parental leave and pay, a right to neonatal leave for parents of premature or sick babies, and requiring employers to be transparent about their parental leave and pay policies and approach to flexible working.
 
 
 
Ask, don't get – agency worker had no right to same hours as employees
 
In Kocur v Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd the Court of Appeal confirmed that the Agency Workers Regulations do not give agency workers the right to be allocated equivalent hours to permanent employees.
