  • The AG explained that unauthorized gambling websites are illegal and lack the consumer protections that are required for regulated online gaming companies, including the requirement that consumers have access to their funds and the enforcement of age restrictions, among other protections.
  • The AG urged consumers to take certain steps before providing any personal or payment information to a gambling website, including confirming the company is licensed and authorized to conduct online sports wagering activities at the Indiana Gaming Commission’s public website, https://www.in.gov/igc/sports-wagering-and-paid-fantasy-sports/.
