Executive Summary: The EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee has extended the deadline for all EEO-1 filers from September 30, 2015 to October 30, 2015.

The EEO-1 report is a compliance survey required by federal statute and regulations, which requires filers to categorize employment data by race/ethnicity, gender and job category. Generally, private employers covered by Title VII with 100 or more employees (subject to certain exclusions) and government contractors with contracts of $50,000 or more and 50 or more employees are required to file an EEO-1 report annually. The report must be filed with the EEOC's EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee. The preferred method for filing the report is the web-based filing system, which requires employers to log into their company database with a Login ID and Password.

All companies that filed an EEO-1 report for the 2014 reporting period should have received their Login ID in their 2015 EEO-1 notification letter by the end of August 2015. Filers can obtain their password from the login screen, https://egov.eeoc.gov/eeo1/login.jsp (by clicking the "Get Password" button). Companies also can obtain their company ID and change their password on the login screen (by clicking the "Forgot Company Number" or "Forgot Password" button). First-time filers can register at: https://egov.eeoc.gov/eeo1/register.jsp.
