Q: I have an employee who has been on work comp and has to leave in the afternoon to go to physical therapy. Does that come out of their PTO bank?

A: No. In general, when an employee takes time off from work to attend medical appointments including things such as physical therapy, that time is not PTO but is paid time which should be coordinated with your workers’ compensation carrier.
