Indiana establishes new earned wage access law

Recently, the governor of Indiana signed into law HB 1125 creating the “Indiana Earned Wage Access Act.” The act requires earned wage access providers to be licensed and grants the state’s director of financial institutions with broad powers to regulate earned wage access providers. The act takes effect next year on July 1, 2026.
