New Mexico, California AG Primary Results

In New Mexico, Second Judicial District DA Raúl Torrez defeated State Auditor Brian Colón in the Democratic primary. Torrez will face Republican Jeremy Gay, who faced no opposition in his primary, in November’s general election. Incumbent AG Hector Balderas, who has held the AG office since 2015, is term-limited.

In California’s “jungle primary,” incumbent Democratic AG Rob Bonta came in first and in November will face the second place finisher, which has not yet been decided between former federal prosecutor Nathan Hochman or attorney Eric Early, both Republicans.
